Theme for early 2024

The procurement arm of my Falstaffian pleasures has been in full swing lately. Our pantries, chest freezer, wine storage, bookshelves and tarot deck collection are brimming to burst. (mostly my doing.)

I think I have plenty to relish and maybe the thrill of buying is should be tamed, so as a theme I am keeping in mind what I have an utilizing and consuming the excess before I procure more. I think I can go quite a while before the shelves are empty and the wine rack is empty. It is good to focus on what you ignore. This is not a season of sacrifice but the exploration of things I have spent good money on. Also food wise focusing on fresh produce and seasonal things is always nice.

I have been very focused on my sons college and my and my wife’s health. This will continue for our good. So I think this theme above takes less thought and will than other themes and it is good to turn over one stores.

I am continuing my focus on song and verse (as the song part has gone very well and I am getting much more into verse, but verse takes more time and is not about consumption but slow relish.)

After the season of depleting the inventory, I look forward to the year of portfolio where I will explore developing an inventory of paintings and then deciding what to do with them, I will start a bit early by getting existing now dry pieces sealed and into inventory.

Tarot Tuesday, Phallic Friday and Sapphic Saturday are still on the agenda as well.
